We are pleased to
announce the release of Pathagoras v. 2022.1. Quite a few new
features are included, as well as some screen modifications and links to make the program
even more intuitive for you and your staff.
Before going into the details, some of you may (appropriately) be asking, "Where was v.2022.0?" Well, it's actually been around since the first of the year, but I never formally released it because there were so many new features that needed testing and refining (and more testing and more refining). I thought it safest just to list the new features on the website for those who visited, but not promote a public release until the bugs were worked out. Once 'nirvana' was reached, it seemed too late to say 2022, so I have dubbed it 2022.1. (Maybe I should just call it 2023?)
Here are some of the new
tools:
- We have added a new 'Excel Complete' tool which let's you gather all data, conditional text settings and even desired clauses into an Excel spreadsheet and create complete documents from the single Excel spreadsheet.
- For our non-English language based customers, we have added a "local language" tool that lets you use a local 'and' and 'or' list separators;; to replace instructions such as "Choose one or more" and "How many times do you want to repeat this clause" using your regional settings and terms; and regional date and currency formatting.
- When *alias* text is imported, it takes on the formatting characteristics of the receiving document. We received a request from a user who used *aliases* to store heavily formatted text (case and statutory citations, in his particular situation). He wanted to insert the 'alias' text with the formatting intact. Good suggestion. Done.
- The newest feature is what we are promoting as "The Power of a Word." You can now assign a document, a folder or a Pathagoras command to a single word (or short phrase) of your choosing and recall the document, folder or command with the press of <Alt-G>. This is a 'try it and you are sure to like it' feature.

session with me. I will join you on your computer and look at what you have set up. I may offer some suggestions on how to improve on what you are doing. Maybe (with your permission) I'll introduce you to a new feature or two that I think would be useful to your practice, but
only ones that are consistent with your current setups. We charge nothing for this advice. It's just part of the Support
Agreement for which you are paying. (If you let the Support Agreement lapse, you can resubscribe to it without penalty for the lapse.)
