We are pleased to
announce the release of Pathagoras v. 2021.5. Included are quite a few new
features, as well as some screen modifications and links to make the program
even more intuitive.
Some of the new
tools will bring functions that many have been requesting, such as the ability
to pull bookmarked text out of a source document. The absolute newest tools
allow our those who have tinkered with and like Word's AutoText feature to
maximize its function. Auto Text lets you type just the beginning characters of
a clause you might frequently use. Word can anticipate the target and propose
the term to you. If it's the one, just hit return. While Auto Text typically is
used for short snippets, signatures, letterhead, certifications and the like,
it really can (and if mastered, should) be used for long documents as well.
Read more about
the above and all the other new features added since the release of v.2021 at
this link. (Yes, we have been very busy.)
As proud as
we are about this release, we also know that many of our customers are still
basic users. They are not yet ready for, or simply have no interest in, these
'new-fangled' features.
Let me use the
rest of this newsletter to address those of you who may fit that description.
WE HAVE NOT ABANDONED YOU! Continue to use Pathagoras as you most feel
comfortable. Don't feel bad if you are not using these tools. We are not trying
to drive you crazy.
For
everyone, if you want to make sure you are using whatever tools you are using
in the most efficient fashion, call me (actually call Julie) to schedule a GoToMeeting
session with me. I will join you on your computer and look at what you
are doing. I will offer some suggestions on how to improve on what you are using. Maybe (with your permission) I'll introduce you to a new feature or two, but
only ones that are consistent with how you are now using Pathagoras. We charge nothing for this advice. It's just part of the Support
Agreement for which you are paying (or if you let it lapse, to which you can
resubscribe to without penalty for the lapse.)
And if you are
one of my many 'more advanced' users, the same offer applies. Let me see where
you are now, and I can propose how to get you to the next level.
I know that most
purveyors of software make it harder and harder to reach a live person. Getting
a straight (not canned) answer is next to nigh impossible. We have always been
the opposite, and we always hope to prove it.
Don't hesitate to
call. (And if you like us, please tell others.)
