When you respond to a *Repeat* block, telling Pathagoras how many time to repeat a certain term/variable, Pathagoras can automatically add the commas and the connectors 'and' and 'or' so the result reads properly. But 'and' and 'or' are typically relevant only if the document is in English. What if the document is in Spanish or Dutch?
A newcomer to Pathagoras suggested that the program could be much more useful if other connectors could be made available for non-English documents.
🤯 (mind blown emoji--great idea!)
Great suggestion. We have adopted it (as we have a tendency to do with all great suggestions) and programmed it.
And we have gone way beyond just the 'and' and 'or' substitutions. We have also coded Pathagoras
to allow local language prompts for <<*Options and <<*Options blocks ('Choose One or
More of the Following", "Check here to keep this text", etc. Your end-users can now see prompts in their local language.
To make sure this works as we envision it, we need some help from some of our in-the-field users (a/k/a beta testers) to fully implement and refine this new routine. (Right now, Pathagoras is programmed to allow one additional language. It requires you to insert you local language 'connectors' and 'prompts'. In the future, we hope to have a selectable list of prompts for various languages that can be chosen at will.)

These tools, at least at the moment, lie in the intermediate level of
our Pathagoras users' spectrum. So if you do not place yourself in that category, do not feel compelled to respond. That said, if you still want to try it, and are willing to devote some time learning some new concepts, don't hesitate to ask to test. If you know a super-user in your firm, especially if a language other than English is used to create documents, maybe pass
this on.) ----------------------------------------

always expanding document assembly and automation possibilities, check out our ‘what’s
