India’s 'vaccine diplomacy’ stands-out under the leadership of PM Modi, who gifted to UN-peacekeeping forces the most needed vaccines so that countries can focus on fighting COVID19.

It also reducing carbon dioxide emissions. SDG 3 and 5. India’s actions have multiple and interlinked benefits.

Since 1992, when the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change was agreed upon, the countries continued with policies that did not mitigate climate change. Climate Change.  Poor and least developed countries continued to suffer due to the impacts of climate change.  Finally, it was decided that 50 per cent of the total share of climate finance provided by all donors be allocated solely to the adaptation and resilience of developing countries.

Climate Justice

This cannot be justified.


Marginalized communities, such as rural women, poor, indigenous communities often face the worst consequences of climate change, even though they are not responsible for climate change. Those who are the least responsible for climate change suffer their gravest consequences. This cannot be justified. The road to fighting climate change is through climate justice. But there is no international climate-court to compensate the poor. ( SDGs13 and 16).
