Subject: Success with Drones in Civil Engineering - and the final page count is...

Hello [firstname]]!

Brett Hoffstadt here again with an update on the book you have been anticipating.

Since we probably haven't been properly introduced yet, allow me to do that now.
If you ever are in Folsom, California, keep your eyes out for me!  This spot is close to my house and I thought it would make a great civil engineering - friendly backdrop for the updated author photo for the book.  How would you rate it?

I'm happy to give a shout out and credit to Corey Hill, owner of Antigravity Aerial, who was the photographer. He is a commercial drone pilot with a successful business serving many business clients. His photography skills have developed tremendously since he decided to become a professional drone pilot.

As for the book, here are more updates.

The target publication date is still May 15th.  We are in the critical final phase where I feel more pressure and stress because there are more things outside of my control.  Here are the key tasks that have me most concerned:
 * cover design - it needs another revision to get it closer to an "11" on the enticement scale. I'm waiting for an updated drone imagery image to have an eye-popping example of what a drone can deliver.
 * book formatting - the number of pages and images in the book is giving my computer a workout. Testing the limits of my resources... often with reboots required.  Not fun. But I'm committed to giving you engaging, relevant, and valuable diagrams, photos, and illustrations in the book so that you can truly  "see" how to be successful with your drone operation.
 * final reviews & inputs from selected commercial drone and AEC leaders. Everyone is so busy, this is a big challenge. But I'm listening very closely to all the feedback and doing my best to quickly adapt and improve the book so it an be a very profitable and practical resource that pays you back many many times over with time, money, and stress that you avoid, thanks to reading it.

You may recall from previous updates that this is actually going to be 3 books in one. After this is published, I am seriously considering a quick follow for each of these major sections to be a smaller book in themselves.  I'll be looking for feedback and responses to confirm if that is worthwhile for people.

That's because the complete book has turned into a serious read.  The final page count for the paperbook looks to be clocking in at...

190 pages

Whew, that's a lot.  I hope you are still as eager as I am to get it into your hands.  Stay tuned for the next update (next week) when the first proof copy should be on its way to my door.

Thanks for staying in the loop.  In the meantime, thanks for your dedicated to create a safe, legal, and profitable drone operation in your corner of the world.

Upward and onward,
 Brett
