Subject: Drones in Civil Engineering - here's our sales pitch

Hello Friend!

Do you like this photo?  Look closely and it has all the right ingredients.  PPE. A safety observer. A drone in the air. Flight plans on the table. And lots of dirt. :)

This is a photo from New Age Aerial and David McCreary, based in northern California. He is a national leader in using drones for civil engineering.  And this image is now set to be the background front cover photo for the book.

Can I get your honest opinion on the image?  The book is coming into shape and I've been staying up late with excitement working on it.

I would also like to share some of the sales copy for the book. This will be the book description on Amazon as well as the back cover text (for the paperback version).

This book is for you, Friend. Please read the draft below and let me know what you think and feel. Any kind of feedback or advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks again for your interest in getting this book when it's available. We are still aiming for a release date of April 30th!

Upward and onward,
 Brett

QUOTE TBD from an AEC industry leader (I'm excited about who is in the running right now)

  • Innovation Management & Entrepreneurship

You’ll gain actual examples on hard-to-get experience such as:
  • Key REQUIREMENTS to define
  • COST and SCHEDULE estimates - and results!
  • QUALITY and ACCURACY metrics
  • Most significant RISKS to manage
  • How to MARKET and SELL this capability - internally and to outside clients

Commercial drone technologies and industries are moving incredibly fast. You’ll learn:
  • 25+ LESSONS LEARNED since “Part 107” started in 2016
  • 3 TOP ROI AND VALUE applications for drones in civil engineering

The book also includes two BONUS sections:
  • ADDITIONAL RESOURCES that will greatly accelerate your next steps - and be your GO-TO REFERENCE LIST in the months and years ahead
  • Critical factors and TRADE-OFFS to determine whether you should BUY OR BUILD (outsource or develop internally) your drone capability

“Small-medium AEC firms typically get their first drone at a retail store. They crash one or two. Then by the third one they start to get consistent, reliable results. This book will save them a lot of precious money and time - while helping them stay safe and legal.”
