| ARTS & ECONOMIC PROSPERITY (AEP) STUDY IS COMPLETE!
Thank you all for participating in AEP survey events, for generously hosting and helping us complete the audience survey collection of the Americans for the Arts Arts & Economic (AEP) Prosperity Study as of July 8, 2023.
We collected a total of 807 individual audience member surveys from 26 cultural events. In addition, 271 certified cultural nonprofit organizations in our region were sent short surveys to complete about their spending and activity in their communities. Eventually, 149 organizations completed and submitted surveys, 11 were started but were not finished, and 103 were not started. This was a 57% compliance rate (compared to a 23% compliance rate in 2015). See the results of our 2015 study HERE.
We met our goals and now look forward to the analysis and report which we expect in October. Thanks again to all for this great collaborative effort. See the numbers and the sites here: | | | | NEXT FUNDING BOOSTER SESSION: AUG 9th

The July Spotlight On Arts & Culture: “Good to Great” Transforming Cultural Organizations on WPKN – 89.5 FM July “Spotlight” shined a light on 9 quite different organizations in our region who received the highly competitive “Good to Great” grant, jointly administered by the CT Office of the Arts and CT Humanities, designed to help transform the visitor experience at their institutions. The grant is awarded to “organizations of all sizes who demonstrate deep thinking about who they are as organizations, and what they could be if granted access to capital funding.” We thought this was a great opportunity to spotlight these organizations, the work they do, and how they will be using their grants to transform their organizations. Our guests were: • Cybele Maylone, Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum, Ridgefield • Peter Gistelinck, Avon Theatre Film Center, Stamford • Kathy Maher, Barnum Museum, Bridgeport • Tracy Kay, Bartlett Arboretum & Gardens, Stamford • Howard Lasser, Brookfield Craft Center, Brookfield • Hilary Wittmann, Carriage Barn Arts Center, New Canaan • Clare Murray, cARTie, Shelton • Maggie Dimock, Greenwich Historical Society, Greenwich • Steve di Costanzo WPKN, Bridgeport
