AEP6 Data Walk and Talk with Randy Cohen

Huge THANK YOU to Randy Cohen, the VP of Research at Americans for the Arts, for coming into our Fairfield County community to share the latest Arts and Economic Prosperity data study. Randy gave a passionate presentation about the data and encouraged us all to think about who we could share the data with. Erika facilitated a data walk that included prompts that guided attendees into critical analysis about putting the AEP6 data into action! THANK YOU to Shiran from Knowlton for allowing us to hold such a dynamic conversation and presentation in the gallery and for treating us to a tour!

We were deeply saddened to learn of the death of our good friend Richard "Dick" Orenstein. Dick served as a Trustee of the Daniel E. Offutt III Charitable Trust, and in his role, Dick was an advocate and financial benefactor of the Offutt Charitable Trust's passion for local arts and culture organizations. During the challenging moments of the pandemic, Dick was instrumental in distributing funds to the Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County and other local art organizations -- many of whom would not be open today without the funds they received. The Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County is incredibly grateful for Dick Orenstein's support and advocacy of arts and culture in our region.

Dick was a sculptor, philanthropist, nonprofit leader, and friend to many. We send our deepest condolences to his family and friends during this time. To read Dick's full obituary, click here.
