| | | TODAY AT NOON ON WPKN 89.5FM: SPOTLIGHT: GIVING THANKS FOR ARTS SUPPORT IN CT |
| | Join us at Noon today for our monthly "Spotlight on Arts & Culture live radio show on WPKM 89.5FM.
In this program, we take advantage of the season, and of the recent election results, to give thanks - for the support that the arts and culture sector receives from our state legislature, as well as from individual donors, our local businesses and family foundations.
We welcome two recently re-elected legislators, Lucy Dathan (D) with House District 142, representing Norwalk and New Canaan, and Representative David Michel (D) with House District 146 - representing mostly the South End of Stamford. Also joining us is Brett Thompson, Executive Director of the CT Arts Alliance, the main advocacy body for the arts in Connecticut, and Scott Wands, in Director of Grants & Programs at CT Humanities.
Find out how arts and culture is funded in CT and how we are now at a pivot point to possibly put that funding on a more equitable, sustainable and predictable footing. How does state funding affect private and business giving to the arts? Join us Monday November 14 at noon on WPKN, 89.5 FM. |
