Subject: Hi Friend, Here's where we're at with OpenSourceSongs
Hi Friend
Here's a quick update on where we're at with Open Source
Songs.
I have had my 'eye off the ball' for a week or two, what
with traveling and recording etc but nonetheless there has
already been great input and momentum on some of the song
postings and at least one or two are nearing completion.
It's exciting to see the combined creativity at work in
writing worship songs.
We are still testing how the process works with the forum
based 'lab' and I'd like your feedback and any questions
you have. By the way, if you haven't created a username
there yet could I encourage you to do that at
www.opensourcesongs.com/lab and let me know how you find
the interaction.
Also, feel free to invite others to the site. Although
we're still at the pre-launch stage I'd like to see a few
more users there to test and feedback ideas.
When you're inviting your friends send them to the home
page at www.opensourcesongs.com to opt in first (I'll
remove this requirement when the site goes officially live
but in the meantime it helps me to communicate with
everyone more easily).
Please let me know any ideas that you have that would help
improve and grow the community.
Further down the pipeline When the member numbers are
significant enough I'd love to run some online songwriting
seminars/workshops. I have a few contacts that I think I
could 'cajole' into teaching and maybe critiquing songs as
part of a teleseminar.
Let me know what you think.
So if you haven't created your username in the lab go there
now and introduce yourself to the rest of the community
(www.opensourcesongs.com/lab).
Cheers - Andy

P.S. On a personal note, I'm nearing the completion of
recording some of my own songs and am going to put a few up
for collaboration to revise some of the lyrics. In fact
there's one in the lab at the minute I'd love your input.
