Subject: The Struggle Is Real...

Hi Friend,

Today has been one of those days when I feel like I’ve gotten nothing done. I’m sure it happens to everyone, but I have to tell you I find it really frustrating.

It’s these days when I usually have a lot of things I think I wanted to get done and it seems like at every turn there are road blocks and my expectations aren’t being met.

And when I can’t cope, what happens is I start “losing it.”

What I mean is...

My mind keeps racing and telling me I should be doing this or that, then I start blaming Zane, or Corey, or Brad, or anyone I believe is holding me back. And that usually looks like me snapping at people, whinging, and being generally cranky.

But hey... I’m only human. And I hope you won’t think less of me for being honest ☺️.

To give myself credit for the progress I’ve made, those days are fewer and last for shorter periods than they used to. And my reaction to these experiences are less severe as well.

This is because I’ve noticed the behaviour and am making a conscious effort to turn the unproductive times into more productive through prior preparation and to change my mindset as soon as I recognise where my thinking is going.

As you can see I take a 2-point approach = a physical strategy and a mental strategy.

That’s because I know I have to retrain my brain each time I relapse from my desired new behaviour (which is to stay calm and relaxed) if I ever want to conquer this negative reaction.

What about you? Do you struggle with these emotions too? And if you do, would you like some help putting strategies in place to work towards mastering your emotions too?

If you do, then you can easily contact us by email, text or phone and we’ll be happy to help.

Let me know if you'd like me to share which mental strategies I have been putting into practice...

In the meantime, we have some exciting news!
Brad is running the "Parenting With A Growth Mindset Webinar" again this week!

So if you missed out last time, this is your chance to tune into a FREE 1 hour online webinar.

In this webinar, Brad unpacks and teaches the importance of:
- The 5 Foundational Principles (designed to help you develop the mindset so you can stay strong when the kids are pushing your buttons)
- Above the Line/Below the Line (how to implement positivity and resiliency into your family home)
- The Learning Pyramid (a concept that shows you how to best implement the tools, tips and strategies you have learnt)

These concepts help caring parents develop not only a 'growth mindset' but also the mindset that is strong and can withstand the ebb and flow of life.

Join us at either 10:00am or 7:30pm on Wednesday the 19th of June.
