Hi Friend,
Last week we chatted about how to easily start a conversation.
And it got me thinking about the conversations we have with ourselves.
Did you know...
The National Science Foundation estimates we have between 12000 and 60000 thoughts per day with approximately 80% of those thoughts being negative?!?
Now, I dont know if this seems right...
But I do know when I'm in a negative frame of mine, I can sometimes get stuck on the problem and then come up with readson to justify my thinking too.
The important thing to do if you experience this to (and have the self-awarness at the time) is to ask yourself this powerful question...
"Do I want to keep feeling this way?"
Becasue I know when I'm like this, I feel cranky and miserable... which often leads to more crankiness and misery too!
And once you've made your decision that you want to feel better, there are 2 great startegies I can think of off the top of my head in "On Track Parenting" to help you start feeling good again:
How to Stop Negativity in its Tracks (Page 73) The Super-Effective Flip Switch (Page 192)
Be sure to grab the book and check them out (remember... repetition is the mother of all success, so you may want to read it for a couple of days).
May your thoughts be merry today...
Warm regards,
Monique Everton Mum, Wife and Registered Nurse On Track Parenting
P.S. Feel free to let me know if there is something you'd like to chat about in particular, because we are always here to help. |
