Discussion Article

Recently, we learnt that Disney has a hand in making prosthetics look cool. Iron Man, Elsa or Star Wars? With British company Open Bionics, the sky is the limit. Some questions to consider:

  • What are some of the inherent problems with most prosthetics?
  • Why is it important to change the perception of prosthetics amongst users and observers alike?
  • How else can children develop their self-confidence without relying on material tools?
Writing Tips

Now that the holidays are just around the corner, it's time to relax and have some fun. Here's how:

  • Grab a pen and jot down your thoughts.
  • Come across a pretty phrase? Collect them all in a vocabulary book.
  • Categorise phrases for easy reference. This will come in handy when you next sit down to write a proper essay.
  • Take the time to read, read, read. The Guardian has a comprehensive list of books from various genres for the picking.

We leave you today with the importance of proper punctuation:

An English professor wrote on the board:
A woman without her man is nothing.
The class was then asked to punctuate the sentence.

All the male students wrote:
"A woman, without her man, is nothing."

While all the female students wrote:
"A woman: without her, man is nothing."

Till the next time,
The Creative Campus Team
