Two Things of Note
An essay
by Michael Knight
Two things of note happened today.
Ghisslaine Maxwell was sentenced.
The J6 Committee held a surprise session.
Guess which one the mainstream media will focus on?
The J6 testimony of a "surprise" witness, of course.
My personal search for information about that hearing offered me a selection of sources.
I opted to check a report by The Guardian out of the UK. Their headline says "Angry, violent, reckless: testimony paints shocking portrait of Trump."
"Cassidy Hutchinson's testimony of a president lunging at a Secret Service agent's throat 'is going to loom very large' in US history, experts say.
It goes on to say "He lunged at a Secret Service agent's throat. He threw dishes during temper tantrums. And he wanted metal detectors taken away so his fans could march with guns and knives."
Because I am a 60-year veteran of the world of journalism, in all media, I can say with certainty that the person who wrote this article has discarded every thread of decency that once was the core of honest reporting.
The next paragraph says "An astonishing portrait of Donald Trump as an unhinged and personally violent president emerged at Tuesday's hearing of the congressional committee investigating last year's attack on the US Capitol."
Stop right there
That is not "reporting."
That is expressing a personal and propaganda opinion, in line with the way the Deep State media has treated everything to do with this President since 2016.
Cassidy Hutchinson, the 25-year-old "surprise witness" in question, was at one time an aide to then White House Chief of Staff, Mark Meadows.
Take careful note of this. Almost her entire testimony was hearsay. Hearsay has no validity in a genuine court hearing. But (says The Guardian) "She described how Trump wanted to go to the US Capitol with his supporters on January 6 after giving a fiery speech that urged them to fight for him."
She testified that " Tony Ornato, the White House deputy chief of staff, told her that Trump had a 'very strong, very angry response' when informed he would be driven back to to the White House instead.
Trump allegedly told a Secret Service agent: 'I'm the effing president. Take me up to the Capitol now.' When the agent refused, Trump tried to seize the steering wheel of the presidential limousine, known as 'The Beast.' His security detail, Robert Engel, grabbed his arm and said: 'Sir, you need to take your hand off the steering wheel. We're going back to the West Wing. We're not going to the Capitol.' "
The article goes on to say she testified that Trump was very angry with AG Bill Barr's claim in an interview with Associated Press that "there was no evidence of widespread election fraud." He threw his lunch against the wall.
The witness added: "There are several times … I was aware of him either throwing dishes or flipping the tablecloth to let all the contents of the table go on to the floor and break or go everywhere."
There was more, but you can read the full article at this link:- https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2022/jun/28/trump-jan-6-secret-service-hutchinson
I know I keep mentioning my own decades of experience in journalism. But that's not to toot my own flute. It is to make the point that I know, with certainty, that honesty departed long ago from the halls of the Fourth Estate. Especially in the Fake News "enemy of the people" that passes for journalism these days.
There are Trump supporters who believe with all their heart and soul that Trump is the golden-haired golden boy, the perfect counterpoint to the Deep State; a man so cool that he plays chess in five dimensions and psyches out his opponents with consummate ease and equanimity.
Me - I see a man who is a real man. A man who on the spur of the moment "loses it" when he is betrayed (as per Bill Barr doing the cowardly claim that there was "no evidence" of election fraud).
Trump must have had a reason for wanting to go from his speech (to almost a million people or thereabouts on Jan 6) to the Capitol. And then, his Secret Service agents denied a direct order from the President of the United States!!!!
To me, that means those agents were as much a part of the set-up that has resulted in this next-level witch hunt as were the secret agents around President Kennedy when he was shot in Dallas.
Damn right I would have reached for a throat, and the steering wheel, under those circumstances that Trump found himself in.
Just imagine how vastly different the outcome would have been if he had indeed made it to the Capitol. There would have been NO entry. There would NOT have been Capitol cops on the inside opening doors and welcoming Trump supporters (enticed by FBI provocateurs) into the building. And we would not now be living in a country where a phony president, a lying charlatan like Schiffty Schiff and a harlot like Pelosi are holding a totally sham trial in hopes of finally putting this man behind bars.
Sure, their plans and sedition and treason may yet be foiled (in reality , I have my own truly trusted sources who say they will be) but here's the thing, and this is my carefully considered opinion.
I believe this "surprise" witness hearing was pre-planned for a very specific reason.
Its purpose was to take pubic attention away from a story that The Guardian (yes, the same one at this link https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2022/jun/28/ghislaine-maxwell-sentencing-sex-trafficking-epstein ) headlined thus:- Ghisslaine Maxwell sentenced to 20 years in prison for sex trafficking crimes.
"Maxwell's attorneys had pushed for leniency after the 60-year-old was convicted in US in December of five of the six charges she faced."
I rarely watch the used-to-be mainstream media in America myself, but I am at least 99.9% certain that you will hear next to nothing there about this sentencing, so long as they can get their fangs into Trump thanks to the "surprise" witness at the J6 show trial.
Why would they remind us that Maxwell was the finder of young girls for Jeffrey Epstein?
No no no! That can of worms might lead to people asking once again why Bill Clinton went to Epstein's island multiple times - along with such celebrities as Prince Andrew, and that Hollywood actor Kevin Spacey and many other so-called celebrities.
Who would want to follow up on all that and reveal the facts, and they are facts, about the rape and murder of children?
I know, the truth can be really hard to accept. But the truth is that these atrocities have been part and parcel of America's political scene for decades.
Many of the most well-known politicians of this, and previous administrations, are pedophiles.
Yet it has been far more widespread than that. Today I saw a clip on Telegram saying as many as 25 million children and yoiung adults are "disappeared" every year in the human btrafficking trade. And Trump was, and is, the man who has sworn to eliminate these practices (and, I would venture to say, these people) from the face of the Earth.
Of course, those involved in these horrendous crimes, being as many of them hold the strings of power, seem to believe they can weather The Storm (the Storm being Trump), so it's no wonder they are doing their utmost to destroy the boy with the golden hair.
Except they simply don't understand.
They don't understand that their hatred of this man is more than counterbalanced by the love that millions have for that same man - the man who loves his country, "his" people, and our world.
Best wishes.
