Selective Reporting
by Michael Knight
I have a way of biding my time as BIG events make the headlines.
I certainly keep a close eye on Big Issues, but rather than join the initial media feeding frenzy, I have learned over the years to wait for the dust to settle in order to get a clearer picture of what is really going on.
In this case, it's the "withdrawal" (I put that in quotes because it's more like a retreat in a hurry than a staged withdrawal) from Afghanistan.
Yes, I did make it clear in a prior email that it has all the hallmarks of a corrupt fake sycophantic non-president doing the bidding of China.
But beyond that, it will takes many days, if not weeks, for the full ramifications of this debacle to unfold.
As Editor of this newsletter, I have no doubt that you more than likely get a lot of information on this and other "breaking" issues from other sources.
So why should I add to the overload?
I would rather offer you a few short paragraphs and links on other matters that in the immediate future and in the long term, are far more relevant, because, let's face it, you did not subscribe in order to get a newsletter that looks like a mainstream echo chamber:-)
So I wait, and will be very selective from now on as to what I report on Afghanistan and what comes next (unless it's the arrest of you-know-who, and then I'll say "I Told You So!").
In the meantime, here's today's potpourri.
Sincerely.
Michael Knight.
