According to the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA), the Black community in the UK has a monetary spending power of up to an estimated £300 billion per annum. This is more than most African and
Caribbean countries' annual GDP. We have enough spending power in the UK to build autonomous institutions that will give us real independent social empowerment which would help to lead to an end of social ills and disenfranchisement we currently suffer from. So, the question is:
♦️Who truly benefits from our spending?
♦️How do we get our people to understand why they must control their community currency?
♦️How do we go from financial disenfranchisement to economic empowerment?
♦️When will we become our own currency lifeline and stop the parasitic economic exploitation by others?
