COMMUNITY QUESTION TIME PRESENTS:
CAN TRUTH BE BANNED?
PART 1
We are living in a time of "cancel culture", banning and self-appointed "thought police." However, we are also living in a time of more people becoming "woke" and speaking truth to power. We have seen our leaders, celebrities, sporting stars and artists come under fire for expressing their and our social realities. The Honourable Minister Louis Farrakhan, Nick Cannon, Professor Griff, Wiley, Anthony Joshua, John Boyega and Diversity have all been targeted in one way or another for representing a social fact or life reality. Tarana Burke, Carmen Perez, Linda Sarsour and Tamika Mallory have also been attacked and attempts have been made to "cancel" their voices because they speak truth to power regarding anti-female empowerment.
At this critical crossroad of sociopolitical, spiritual and cultural consciousness, we must ask ourselves:
- Why is there a fear of the powers that be raising the minds of the masses today?
- Who are those that work against the consciousness of the people and what is their agenda?
- What price are we prepared to pay to stand on truth today?
