It’s heart-wrenching to witness the dangerous and violent situations that bedside nurses are facing, and my heart goes out to all who have been affected.

Nurses are the backbone of our healthcare system. We are the compassionate hands that care for others, the voices of advocacy, and the source of comfort for patients and families. Yet, the rising incidents of violence in healthcare settings leave us questioning the safety of our profession.

As much as we cherish the vital work we do, we must also advocate for safer environments for all healthcare professionals.
