Subject: NNBA News ~ Nurse Entrepreneur's Vlog ~ Blueprint to Visualize ~ NNBA 2023 Early Bird Ends Soon!

President's Corner

Dear Nurses,

The NNBA was founded 38 years ago by nurses that believed nurses could go beyond traditional roles and settings onto independent nursing practice through entrepreneurial models. They wanted a community that focused on sharing information on concrete models that work, providing nurses with business education, resources, and connections to start and grow their own nursing business. Not willing to tolerate the status quo, nurse entrepreneurs see what challenges there are and set about to right many of the wrongs they see in the current healthcare environment.

Nurses are problem solvers, improvers, and innovators. A great example is Laurel Chiaramonte, CNO and founder of Duality Systems. Laurel’s company solves pain points in nursing, specifically, scheduling, with a software application that uses AI algorithms. We had a wonderful conversation, and it was so interesting to hear how Laurel’s company solves pain points for nurses. See our video interview, Nurse Entrepreneur’s Exchange in the article of interest below.

Virtual Care evolved rapidly because of the pandemic. And while it may have plateaued, in no way is it going away. Telehealth has become ingrained in the healthcare delivery system yet virtual care has unique bottlenecks that must be addressed to ensure healthcare access and patient satisfaction. In Enhancing Patient Access at Virtual Care’s Front Door, entrepreneurial nurses can find many opportunities for services, especially nurses already in the health advocacy and home care space.

They say the battle is won twice, first in your mind and then in your reality. Visualization involves using your imagination and mental imagery to create a vivid representation of your goals, desires, and the path to achieving them. See the blueprint below in How to Visualize More Effectively for Greater Success in our last article of interest.

Enhancing Patient Access at Virtual Care’s Front Door

mHEALTH INTELLIGENCE
Virtual care has evolved rapidly since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. From telehealth visits to remote patient monitoring to hospital-at-home, various virtual care modalities have become ingrained in the healthcare delivery system. But like in-person care, virtual care has unique bottlenecks that must be addressed to ensure healthcare access and patient satisfaction.

Telehealth use reached record highs during the pandemic, with one estimate showing that visit volumes peaked at 73.7 million in the second quarter of 2020. However, by the first quarter of 2022, this figure had dropped by 37 percent to 46.4 million.

Visualization is a wonderful tool to achieve success in life. If you understand the power of visualization and the tools and techniques to visualize, you can build a positive attitude and condition your mind constructively to accomplish your goals and objectives successfully.

In this regard, you must understand the power of visualization. What is visualization? It is the ability to see your future where what you seek to achieve has been accomplished. You must learn how to visualize achieving your success.

It is rightly said that a battle is won twice — first in the mind and second in reality. That means you must have a mental script first and then the real script.
