What nurses are saying about the NNBA Conferences:
The energy and enthusiasm of this growing wave of innovation and change was infectious, and I certainly left recharged for taking my ideas forward. I met many people with whom I've been connected for a long time on social media, in person for the first time, as well as making many new connections. I encourage all nurses who even have an inkling of going into business to attend this conference!
I can’t wait to return for my 5th conference in a row! My business benefits more each time I attend and it’s wonderful seeing old friends and making new ones. Just the collaborative and supportive environment instills confidence and breakthroughs in my business.
Building relationships that make a positive impact and the fantastic line- up of speakers builds upon each other and so much great experience shared. Too many aha.. moments to count. Inspiring, informative, validating and motivational!
I attended last year and knew I would be back this year! Never disappointed and the speakers and content exceeded my expectations. What a stellar line-up!
I know this conference will help me launch my business with new support, relationships, and mentors. The fact that I am going home with the belief I can do this. | Since the onset of the pandemic, Inc. has been airing weekly webinars with the most influential names in business. Think of these excerpts as a master class on making it in the new reality. Kendra Scott - Founder and CEO of the billion-dollar Kendra Scott jewelry and homewares brand Don't focus on the business. Focus on the customer. Where is she in this moment? How can we serve her? How can we surprise and delight her today? When you bring it down to that basic level, magical things can happen.
John Paul DeJoria - Serial entrepreneur; philanthropist; and co-founder of John Paul Mitchell Systems and Patrón Spirits
I'll give you a beautiful exercise. Think about anybody you don't like, who displeases you--anybody you want to get back at for something. And let it go. Forgive them, either openly or silently. It costs nothing, and it's amazing what happens. Something lifts off your shoulders. You get the negativity out of your subconscious, where it can make everything around you look bleak. You just say, that was yesterday. I cannot change yesterday, and I'm not going to let it burn everything else down. All that disrespect, all that jealousy, all that hate--get them out of there and clean up your energy. |

| In the not-too-distant future, “the hospital” will turn into older adults’ living rooms. And non-medical home care providers will play a key role in that evolution away from brick-and-mortar facilities. That’s according to Jeff Huber, CEO of Home Instead Senior Care, an Omaha, Nebraska-based home care franchise company with more than 1,200 independently owned and operated offices worldwide.
Huber recently sat down with Home Health Care News to share his thoughts on the future of in-home care, along with the workforce that’s needed to sustain its growth. During the conversation, the CEO also touched on the COVID-19 virus and the rollercoaster impact it has had on Home Instead Senior Care’s global business.
You can read the highlights from HHCN’s conversation with Huber below, edited for length and clarity.
Huber: I’m really impressed with how our franchise owners, teams and overall network have risen to the challenges of the moment. They’ve been able to continue to provide services and care to our clients while maintaining their health and safety. |
