President's Corner

I have heard from many of you, that just like me, you have difficulty with “falling back” and find the time change always a bit of an adjustment. With the whirl of the holiday season just around the corner, the new year will be here in a blink of an eye. Evaluating your 2014 goals and beginning to build your 2015 goals? The NNBA is here to assist you. The NNBA keeps membership affordable since we are dedicated to helping nurses succeed in business so utilize the website, www.nnbanow.com, and let the NNBA know how it can assist you in this process.

The National Nurse in Business Association recognized the nursing student volunteers at a special ceremony on the UCF campus last week. Check it out in the article and pictures below. Cindy Hart, NNBA’s southeast regional manager has been busy and filling me in on the dedication and impressive amount of work that these nursing students are accomplishing. The NNBA champions the profession of nursing and has re-launched the Student Nurse Membership Program. Look to hear more about what nursing students around the country are up to and see what they had to say about the NNBA!

After compiling all of the information contained on the conference evaluation forms from The National Nurses in Business Entrepreneurship Conference 2014, it is time to start planning for next year's conference in Las Vegas; NNBA’s 30th Anniversary! The format of our 2015 conference will have some joint sessions in addition to multiple breakout sessions where you can experience more in-depth knowledge of specific topics that you will select. Stay tuned as we announce the speakers, nurse experts and a few surprises that will be in store in Las Vegas!

How I Survived Daylight Savings | NNBA Member Blogpost
Sunday is the day my husband and I do our food shopping–yes, we go together! We typically go to our local Trader Joe’s and then make a bee-line to Whole Foods. (I have a love-hate relationship with Whole Foods, but I digress.) Whole Foods was particularly busy today and I assumed it was because we got there later than we normally do. My husband insisted we were there at our normal time. I distinctly remember looking at the clock in his truck and it was 11:00am. My husband had his phone with him, and the clock on his phone says it’s 10:00am. Okay, now I’m confused; and I blame it on his old, crappy phone.
