I really love the articles in this issue of NNBA News. I’ve had personal experience with this and have had staff members that have found success using the bravado example of the 6 Top Entrepreneurs below. Know for certain that they are true and one of my mentors and coach, James Malinchak, talks about this approach in his Big Money Speakers Bootcamp event each December. The article about mastering social media for small businesses is an older article I believe will assist a many of our newer business owners. Summer is here so bleisure is in. That combination of business and travel that is good for our health and our careers in The Art of Mixing Business and Pleasure. Make this the best Independence Day Ever! Invest in your future competitive advantage or give yourself the gift of discovering the many ways you can use your current education & experience!

Nurse Business Insider Tip         by Michelle Podlesni
Where Nurses in Business will share an insider tip that may benefit other nurses in different stages of business development.
“If you want small changes in your life, work on your attitude. But if you want big and primary changes, you need to work on your paradigm”. I believe this Stephen Covey statement really rings true for nurses. We need to reframe our view (paradigm) of all we can be. Do you know a group of professionals that are as capable as nurses are? Yet, day after day, nurses ask me if they can start a business, be a consultant, a speaker, an author, or an educator. I cite example after example of our NNBA members that have done just that and now are successful nurse business owners. We all start as business newbies and that is perfectly fine. One day we look back and realize, why did I wait so long? We need to realize that most of our limitations are self-imposed. Many times we just need to get out of our own way!
