Subject: What You Need to Know About Google's Changes On Press Releases...

Hi,

Press Releases are a pretty fundamental marketing tool, and up until last year they were also great for generating not only targeted traffic, but also for boosting your search engine rankings in Google.

What happened last year to change that?

Simple, Google decided there were simply too many poorly written Press Releases that added little value to the search results, in other words "spammy" stuff that was simply to manipulate search results, so they decided to devalue Press Release links!

BUT they've now changed their mind and stopped penalising Press Releases...

In fact this change happened back in September 2014, but they're only just announcing it now...

Why?

Well, first of all they ended up hurting a lot of legitimate 'authority' sites (e.g. PR Newswire) AND they realised that sometimes people are actually looking for Press Releases!

In a recent statement a Google rep said:

"The goal of search is to get users the right answer at any one time as quickly as possible — that may mean returning an article from an established publisher or from a smaller niche publisher or indeed it might be a press release.”

The important bit of you and me is that we can now get those benefits for free targeted traffic again, but it's important to understand the difference between a Press Release and a blog post or regular article.

The format is more formal, not written in 'first person perspective/language', and there are a number of elements that need to be covered.

Basically you need to use the 'inverted pyramid' style that you find in all well written news articles, and includenews elements like quotes and summaries.

It's not hugely difficult to do, but can be time consuming to get your Press Release listed in the best sites.

That's why the most effective way is to use a service that will:

1. write and format them correctly for you
&
2. get your release listed on the top sites

So you can just get on with making the most out of the new traffic it brings in.

I've spent months testing out what works and this week I've got a free webinar for you to share the best...
