Message from the Executive Director

Looking ahead to an exciting year, NGLA is ready to bring our strategic priorities to life—goals developed by our Board of Directors with input from our community. We know that none of this work happens without our greatest strength: our volunteers.

From campuses across the Northeast and beyond, our volunteers bring energy, creativity, and commitment to everything we do. They’re the reason our educational programs thrive and our mission continues to grow.

Now, we’re inviting you to be part of that momentum. The Call for Volunteers is officially open—and we’d love to have you on the team! Whether you want to help shape the Annual Conference, support year-round programs, or contribute to fresh initiatives, there’s a role for you. With a range of time commitments and opportunities to match different interests and skill levels, you can find a way to make an impact that fits your schedule and supports your growth.

Know someone who might be a great addition to our volunteer team? Share this opportunity with them—we’re always looking to welcome new voices to the table.

We hope you’ll join us. Together, we can make 2026 one of our most impactful years yet!

Tom Murphy

Executive Director

Throughout my years as an NGLA volunteer, I've had the opportunity to deepen my professional skills, join a community of passionate and supportive fellow volunteers, and give back to an organization I believe in. I'd recommend volunteering for NGLA to anyone who wants to make a positive impact on the fraternal community – there are so many opportunities to get involved in a way that works for you!
