NGLA Welcomes New Board Members
|
| The Northeast Greek Leadership Association announces the appointment of three new members to the Board of Directors. These Board members will serve a three-year term, which begins in June 2017. Emily Perlow, Executive Director, states, “The addition of these outstanding professionals to the NGLA Board of Directors enhances our outlook, perspectives, and capacity. I am thrilled to welcome Maribeth, Kevin, and Christopher to our team.”

Maribeth currently serves as the Associate Director for the Office of Student Involvement & Leadership at Bridgewater State University where she’s worked since 2008. Prior to working at Bridgewater State University, Maribeth held student affairs positions at John Muir College of University of California – San Diego and New York University. Maribeth has been involved as a volunteer for Gamma Phi Beta since 2006. She is the current Sorority Director - Collegiate Resources for Regions 1 through 4 and previously served as Regional Director – Region 1, Chair of the Alcohol Task Force, and Regional Coordinator. Maribeth earned a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education and Spanish from Bridgewater State College and a Master’s in College Student Personnel from New York University.

I have long felt that one of the primary reasons NGLA is so special is because of the dedication and commitment of those who serve it and work to create meaningful opportunities for our members. | Kevin Pons has an extensive background in fraternity & sorority affairs. Professionally, Kevin is an Account Executive at CollegeVine, a mentorship, test prep, and college consulting firm. Kevin has also worked at EverFi and served as the Director of Education & Leadership and Assistant Executive Director for Sigma Pi Fraternity International. Kevin has volunteered in various capacities for NGLA since 2012. He has also been the Assistant Executive Director for Rotary Youth Leadership Academy (RYLA) since 2001. Kevin earned a Bachelor’s in Marketing with a concentration in Leadership Studies from Johnson & Wales University and a Master’s in Higher Ed Administration with a concentration in Student Development from the University of Delaware.

Christopher Zacharda, Ed.D
|
| Christopher Zacharda currently serves as the Associate Dean for Student Life at Johnson & Wales University where he’s worked since 2009. Prior to working at Johnson & Wales, Christopher held positions in Residential Life at University of Southern California and Rollins College. Christopher is also part of the Graduate School Adjunct Faculty at both Johnson & Wales University and the University of Rhode Island. Christopher earned his Bachelor’s in English and Political Science from Bucknell University, his Master’s in Higher Education Administration from University of Connecticut, and his Doctor of Education in Educational Psychology from University of Southern California.
