Subject: NGLA | September Newsletter

Welcome Back from the Chairman
Greetings, friends and colleagues, as we begin yet another fall semester in higher education. Another year to make an impact, another year to add growth experiences to fraternity and sorority members, and another year to educate ourselves into better versions of ourselves. Over the last year, the NGLA Board of Directors has worked toward drafting new strategic initiatives that will internally strengthen the Association as we embark on our 25th year. We are so excited to show you what we have in store over the next twelve months as we celebrate NGLA.

If you are receiving this newsletter, it is because you in some way support the Association and the students we educate each year in the Northeast. Thank you for all you have done to start the school year, support a fraternity and sorority system, and continue to help the Association thrive. We have many exciting things lined up for the coming year as we lead into our annual conference in Baltimore, MD. We hope you will be able to join us this year if you haven’t been able to in years past or to take advantage of our members-only educational experiences if attending in person in February will not be possible. NGLA thrives because of the passion, drive, and tenacity of volunteers. They have done, and continue to do, an amazing job advancing NGLA year-round!

As the pumpkin spice comes out to dazzle our senses, the sweaters return to keep away the chill, and the leaves begin to fall across the region, please keep NGLA in mind when you need resources, education for yourself or your students, or if you are looking to expand your professional network. If you have ways that NGLA could better serve you or our community, please share those with me (chairman@ngla.org) or Tom (exec@ngla.org).

See you in Baltimore, friends!

Kathryn Hartmann
Chairman
Welcome from Executive Director
I hope this message finds you well and excited to embark on another exciting year of growth and leadership within our fraternity and sorority communities. As the Executive Director of the Northeast Greek Leadership Association, it is my pleasure to share the great news about our vibrant and ever-evolving organization. Your commitment to excellence in leadership, scholarship, and service is the cornerstone of our success, and I am thrilled to share some exciting updates with you.

First and foremost, I am excited about the launch of our newly redesigned NGLA website! This upgrade has been a significant project for us, and we are proud to provide a more user-friendly and dynamic online experience for all our members. The new website features a modern design, enhanced navigation, and a wealth of resources to support your leadership journey. From event registrations and conference details to educational materials and networking opportunities, our goal is to make your interaction with NGLA as seamless and valuable as possible. I encourage you to explore the site and take advantage of everything it offers.

We have also made some exciting enhancements with the addition of our membership program. Our new structure is designed to provide even greater value and engagement for all communities, large or small. Our membership options will provide exclusive access to virtual events and discounts on our annual conference. Our members are at the heart of everything we do, and these changes reflect our commitment to your growth and development as leaders in your community.

In addition to these updates, I am pleased to share our ambitious fundraising goals for the year. As we continue to expand our programs and outreach, your support is more critical than ever. Our fundraising initiatives will focus on expanding scholarships for students, enhancing our educational programming, and supporting new and innovative projects that align with our mission. I invite you to join us in these efforts by contributing to our cause through donations, volunteering, or spreading the word about our work. Together, we can impact the future of fraternity and sorority life in the Northeast.

I look forward to celebrating 25 years of NGLA at the 2025 NGLA Annual Conference in Baltimore, MD! This conference promises to be one of our best yet, with a lineup of inspiring speakers, interactive workshops, and unparalleled networking opportunities. Baltimore's rich history and dynamic atmosphere make it the perfect backdrop for us to come together, share ideas, and continue to advance our values. Mark your calendars now — you won't want to miss this extraordinary event!

In closing, I express my deepest gratitude to our volunteers whose dedication and support make the Association possible. NGLA is more than just an association; it is a community of leaders committed to making a difference in the world. I am honored to lead this organization and excited about the future we are building together.

Thank you for being a part of the NGLA family. I look forward to seeing you online, at our events, and in Baltimore next year!
