The 2015 NGLA Annual Conference is set to provide a historic level of programming! Thank you to everyone who submitted a program for the NGLA Conference. This year, we received a record number of over 150 program submissions for general programming, keynote and featured speakers. General programs are currently being reviewed by the program committee and presenters will be notified by December 1, 2014, if their programs were selected.
The programming committee has selected “authenticity” as the theme this year, and we look forward to engaging in dynamic programming and important conversations around that topic in February.
Our keynote speakers for this year’s event all bring their own branded message surrounding the theme of authenticity. |

As scholars and leaders, we know that books are an important resource for learning. There are many communities that do not have the same access to books and libraries. This year for the community service experience we are excited to share that we will be partnering with the Hartford Public Library!
Have any old books you no longer need? Going home for the holidays and want to do some winter cleaning? Here is your chance to give back! We will sponsor a book drive for the Hartford Public Library during the annual conference. All books will be accepted and are appreciated. Books will be collected at the NGLA Community Service Table. For more information about the Hartford Public Library please visit their website. For any questions about the service project please contact Antonio-Phillip Lytle

The NGLA Annual Conference is just around the corner, and we want to let you in on a secret gem of the weekend- the Silent Auction! The 2nd Annual Silent Auction is not only a way to win fabulous prizes, but it is also a way to raise money for the NGLA scholarships for future attendees. Last year, the Silent Auction raised over $2,500 for the NGLA scholarship program
This year, we are challenging each delegation to bring an item or basket to donate to the Silent Auction. Also, don’t forget to bring some extra cash onsite to bid on the many items that we will have up for auction.
If you have any questions please contact Rebecca via email or telephone 412-396-6651 (Office) / 330-518-4353 (cell). Thank you in advance for your participation. We look forward to seeing you in Hartford! |

Apply for Student Conference Staff
Each year, the NGLA Annual Conference is run with the support of a team of eight student volunteers. This experience is a great opportunity to learn about conference management, meet fellow fraternity and sorority students from all over the northeast, and network with higher education and fraternal professionals.
Interested students must complete the application and submit a letter of reference from a fraternity or sorority advisor (for undergraduate students) or a supervisor (for graduate students). Applications will be available starting November 3, 2014 via the NGLA website and must be submitted by December 15, 2014. Please email NGLA volunteer staff coordinator Michael Berthel with any questions. |
