NGLA Board of Directors Leadership Update
Dear NGLA community,
The Board of Directors of NGLA would like to inform you that today, Friday, January 22, we were notified about the upcoming resignation of our current Executive Director, Kevin Pons. He tendered his resignation effective Friday, February 5. We appreciate his many years of service and the important contributions he has made to strengthen our Association. As demonstrated by his contributions to NGLA, we know that Kevin will be a leader in all of his future endeavours. Our current Assistant Executive Director, Katie Hartmann, will serve as the Interim Executive Director until the new Executive Committee is formed.
Over the next two weeks, the Executive Committee will work with Kevin to transition his responsibilities. We know that this is a pivotal time to get ready for our upcoming conference. Our Conference Chair, Joe Gurreri, and Assistant Conference Chair, Ryan S. Cole, and the rest of our volunteer family are still prepared to deliver a premier virtual educational experience. We are excited to welcome everyone to the 2021 NGLA Virtual Conference next month!
If you have any questions or concerns about this transition, please contact Katie Hartmann. Thank you.
Fraternally,

Kevin Pons states, “Over the last 9 years, I have thoroughly enjoyed helping build this amazing association that we all know and love today. NGLA will always have a special place in my heart and I wish nothing but the best for the association in years to come."
Katie Hartmann, Interim Executive Director, states, “Kevin has contributed so much to NGLA over the past 9 years. Much of our recent progress is a direct result of his efforts. Thank you so much for your contributions over the years. The Board of Directors and the entire Association is better because of you."

We are incredibly grateful for his service. As Assistant Executive Director, Katie has worked to advance NGLA’s strategic plan and initiatives. Myself and the rest of the board are excited to work with Katie during this transition to continue to achieve the many possibilities that are ahead for our Association.”
