Don’t miss an opportunity to volunteer on the 2020 NGLA Annual Conference Student Staff!

Each year, the NGLA Annual Conference is run with the support of a team of student volunteers. These volunteers include both undergraduate and graduate students. This experience is a terrific opportunity to learn about conference management, meet fellow fraternity & sorority members from across the Northeast, and network with higher education and fraternal professionals.

Student Staff members assist in conference preparation, registration, organization of meals and activities, and maintaining conference policies and procedures. Student Staff also has an opportunity to engage with a NGLA Board of Directors member in a mentoring capacity before, during, and after the NGLA Annual Conference.

Apply for 2020 NGLA Student Staff by December 9, 2019 @ 11:59pm EST.

"I first attended the NGLA Annual Conference as an undergraduate participant in 2015. Since then I have had the opportunity to attend as both a graduate student in a professional role and serve on the 2019 Student Staff. Experiencing the Annual Conference from a volunteer perspective was both eye-opening and rewarding. Throughout the week I learned valuable leadership, planning and time management skills that were different from those I have encountered before. This opportunity allowed me to network and meet new people who share the passion I have for the development and support of the fraternal movement. When you volunteer for NGLA, you have a hand in educating both student and professional leaders giving them the tools and resources they need to go home and empower their communities!"

"I’ve had the fortunate experience to attend the NGLA Annual Conference as both an undergraduate and graduate student. The opportunity to serve as NGLA Student Staff during my final year of graduate school allowed me to reconnect with old friends and network with new colleagues. Throughout the week, I was able to take advantage of this once in a lifetime opportunity to learn about organizational leadership and gain a new perspective on the hard work and dedication necessary to host a conference of this size. The mentorship and support provided to NGLA Student Staff lasts long after the conference ends and are valuable connections that I still use in my current work. At NGLA, we are like family and through participation in Student Staff I have been able to grow both my network and family."
