“My experience serving on the NGLA Student Staff was incredibly impactful. I was able to work with a team of 13 other undergraduate and graduate students to provide assistance to the students and staff who attended the NGLA Annual Conference. We worked together to continue the work that NGLA already does: providing resources and skills to leaders. Volunteering with NGLA helped reinforce my love for Fraternity and Sorority Life and reminded me of how powerful the work we do is. Being able to support the attendees while still being able to network and enjoy the conference myself was amazing. I was able to make new friends and connections during my time on Student Staff that are helping me in my student affairs job search now. I was also able to drop into educational sessions and bring what I learned back to my institution. I truly believe that serving on NGLA Student Staff was one of the best professional experiences I’ve ever had. Without a doubt, I will volunteer with NGLA for the rest of my career in Fraternity and Sorority Life.”

“I have had the privilege to attend NGLA two years during my undergraduate years, both years the NGLA Student Staff stood out to me with their positive energy. Being offered the amazing opportunity of being on Student Staff and assisting to put the conference together was the highlight of my senior year of college. I was able to connect with many professionals and pre-professionals who offered me great advice helping me get where I am today. Coming into the conference without knowing anyone can be intimidating, however, everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming. Other Student Staff are now some of my closest peers and are part of my Greek Life family. The close relationships you build with these leaders go beyond the duration of the conference, each of whom I am still inspired by.”
