To our NGLA friends and family:
NGLA sends our best wishes to all of you as we continue to deal with the challenges related to COVID-19. We hope you are safe and well during this difficult time.
After careful consideration, the NGLA Board of Directors and Conference Team have decided to change the format of the 2021 NGLA Annual Conference (February 25-28, 2021) from an in-person experience in Hartford, CT to a virtual format.
It is impossible to predict the state of our world in February 2021 or what social distancing procedures would be necessary to keep participants safe at a large conference next year. We do know, however, that COVID-19 has created a financial burden that has affected every level of our community. We anticipate travel restrictions and budget cuts will prohibit many delegations from gathering in Hartford, especially those who may be learning remotely. During a time of uncertainty, we commit to offering an educational experience that our community can enjoy without worrying about their personal safety. We are confident that our early decision to change the format of the upcoming NGLA Annual Conference broadens the accessibility to education and development for our community.
Our mission is to educate leaders from a variety of fraternal experiences to transform and empower their community and align actions with values. We are excited about increasing the accessibility of our conference to a broader community by offering the 2021 NGLA Annual Conference virtually. We’ll be working hard with our partners throughout the summer to plan another amazing educational experience!
Sincerely,
The NGLA Board of Directors and 2021 Conference Team
