Dear ,

Don’t miss an opportunity to present a keynote address at the 2019 NGLA Annual Conference!

The Association plans an annual conference each February that attracts over 1,000 fraternity and sorority members from over 100 campuses across the Northeast. This year the 2019 NGLA Annual Conference will be held February 28, 2019 to March 3, 2019 in Hartford, CT.

We are soliciting applications from presenters we might consider for one of three keynote addresses. Each keynote is crafted with an ideal topic in mind. We encourage you or someone that you know that would be ideal for this program to apply by Monday, August 20, 2018.

Throughout the conference, three keynote addresses are scheduled:

Opening Keynote | Thursday Evening (75 Minutes)
Simply put, this session sets the tone for the whole conference. This session should cover one of the following requested topics:
  • Being proud of being a member of the Greek community
  • Relevance and value of a Greek community on campus
Approximate attendance: 1,000
Morning Keynote | Friday Morning (75 Minutes)
Similar to the opening keynote, this session should cover one of the following requested topics:
  • Diversity/inclusion/social justice as it relates to intracommunity support across councils
  • Mental health and resiliency
Approximate attendance: 1,200

Closing Keynote | Saturday Morning (60 Minutes)
This session is intended to serve as the culmination of the conference experience. This session should cover one of the following requested topics:
  • Promoting the Greek experience
  • Change creation/ implementation
Approximate attendance: 1,200

General program submission may also include topics on leadership, diversity & inclusion, service, academic support, and/or recruitment.

We request that the selected keynotes be willing to offer their program at no cost to NGLA. In exchange, NGLA provides the following support:
  • Two targeted electronic mailings sent by NGLA about the keynote’s program to all conference attendees— one prior to the conference and one following the conference
  • Complimentary conference registration
  • Complimentary hotel room
  • Promotional materials about selected keynote’s program on the chair of each participant in the keynote room
  • Description of the keynote and a link to selected keynote’s website on the NGLA website
  • List of the keynote as a Bronze Level Sponsor on the NGLA website
Our Call for Keynote Speakers application is open until Monday, August 20, 2018. Please apply here and select “Keynote Address.”
