For many of us, summer is a time of relaxation, reflection, and preparation. It is a time for planning, whether that be how to change a chapter culture, eliminate a toxic tradition, recruit more members, or better empower officers. It is a time for strategic thinking and visioning and a time to set a direction. As the school year commences, now is the time to take all that renewed energy and direction and put it into action. This is the case for the Northeast Greek Leadership Association as well.
This summer the Board of Directors met to craft a new strategic plan for the Association. We evaluated trends affecting higher education in the Northeast, considered the ways our Association can better serve students and professionals in the region, and explored ways to both expand and strengthen organization operations. Please be sure to click here to learn more about what our Association has in store for the next three years. When we celebrate our 20th anniversary in 2020, we know we’ll have a lot to celebrate.
As we head into the start of the academic year, please be sure to keep the Northeast Greek Leadership Association in your thoughts. If you attended any of our past leadership events, how can you use what you learned to start the academic year off right? What are ways the Association can help you achieve your goals? Whether it’s a professional speaker you met at the conference whose words inspired you or an action plan you developed, it’s important to take that learning and turn it into results. Most importantly, let us know how can we even better serve you. I’d love to hear from you—email me anytime at exec@ngla.org.
Best wishes for the start of another year of values driven excellence.
Fraternally,
Emily Perlow
