Subject: The Mixed Messages of College Audits

How a degree audit can give a student a clear picture of where they stand in terms of meeting their graduation requirements.

Pieces of Advice, I've Had a Few

Expect some major eye rolls when you tell your college freshman that you've have some great bits of advice for them that will help them adjust to their first year of college.

These bits, however, come not only from a parent, but there's commentary from a recent freshman who just moved up to sophomore.

So, we're thinking that these words of wisdom may carry a little more weight than your garden variety bits from "parents-who-don't-really-know-what-they're talking-about."

Audits Don't Always Have to Be Feared

When the IRS comes calling and they inform you that they will be doing an audit, the blood rushes from your body quicker than a room full of teens when Mom's car unexpectedly pulls up.

But not all audits are reason to run.

Those that help a student assess how well they are aligning with their coursework expectations can keep them on track and make sure graduation will be in four years rather than five.

It's more common for college seniors to go through this process, but you'll learn here why all students should regularly request an audit.

My goal is to provide affordable services, insightful information and a support system so your family can make more informed decisions about college.
