Does your student need help finding an internship?
I hear it all the time from friends...

the disappointment in career services at their children's colleges.

Unless your student is interested in finance or engineering, colleges don't seem to help students find other types of jobs.

And internships - forget it. Has your child gone to career services to ask for help finding an internship? Good luck with that.

So we're taking things into our own hands to teach students what they need to know to land an awesome internship.

And it's not too late to find something for this summer!

But they need a solid resume, they need research skills to find companies and the best person to contact, and they need to know how to handle interviews and follow-ups.

They need to know how to network! I know some people don't like that word, but it's the truth.

Things have changed with the internet and applying to a job/internship through a job site is like throwing spaghetti at a wall and hoping some of it sticks.

To find an internship, students need to know how to stand out, like...who to talk to at job fairs, how to use LinkedIn to find a connection, making sure they have interesting questions to ask in an interview, and more.

Do you know what a C.A.R. resume is?? C.A.R. stands for challenges, actions, results.

Sign your student up (and you can come too) to our workshop and they will learn about C.A.R. and so much more.

The workshop will be run by Marisa Meddin, a certified coach who has a passion for helping students and young adults find the right careers, and land internships and full time jobs.

Prior to becoming a coach, Marisa spent 6 years working for Pepsi. During that time, she led college recruiting efforts for the marketing team, where she was responsible for finding and recruiting top undergraduate and MBA talent to join the company.

Marisa has spent years reading hundreds of resumes and cover letters, recruiting students at career fairs, and interviewing individuals. She can teach your student all of the important tricks, steps, strategies and tactics to land an internship or full time job.

And by the way, if you're a parent looking to change jobs or re-enter the workforce, this workshop can help you too.

SUNDAY: MARCH 24th from 4 - 5:30pm EST.

p.s. - I'm sorry I couldn't email you about this sooner. It's been a crazy busy week. We did a Facebook Live on internships earlier in the week if you want to watch it here
