Selective Service: Not a Direct Path to Boot Camp or Stress City

When many parents hear "Selective Service," they immediately think "Boot Camp," but that's not true.

Yes, young men are required by law to register within 30 days of their 18th birthday, but it doesn't mean that by doing so they're signing up to serve in the military.

What IS true is that failing to register can result in a number of penalties and can also interfere with a student's ability to receive federal financial aid.

So, don't stress about this requirement, just find out more details here.

2020's Early College Admissions Results: Do They Reflect That Crazy Year?

Reports, interviews, and data are in, and we now know that the global pandemic has left a lasting impression on college admissions that will have serious implications on the future.

If you're wondering whether some of the data is as wacky as most everything else was during the past year, you might be pleasantly surprised...or not.

We are fortunate enough to have access to lots of information regarding the 2020 admissions process, specifically Early Decision (ED1) and Early Action at many highly selective schools and we've broken down what the numbers mean to help you make better sense of how to help your child with the Regular Decision application process.

Give a Little, Get A Lot

For the past two years we've worked together as a community to crowdsource and share our student's acceptances, need-based aid, and merit scholarship offers.

This year, more than ever, it's important to see how colleges are awarding financial aid and merit scholarships, and how test scores (or no test scores) are impacting these outcomes.

Early and rolling acceptances are arriving for the 2021-2022 school year, along with financial aid and merit scholarship offers.

Our updated free tool, COMPARE COLLEGE OFFERS (CCO) is live!
If your student has received offers from colleges, please use the tool to compare your offers and see what other students at the same colleges received.

Over the next few weeks and months, additional college offers will be added from this year's admissions season.

I'm excited to see us all work together, share our information and help clear up the mystery of the admissions and paying for college process.

My goal is to provide affordable services, insightful information and a support system so your family can make more informed decisions about college.
