REMINDER!

FAFSA WORKSHOP: Sunday, 10/7 at 8:30pm EST

This workshop will walk step by step through the online FAFSA form and will address questions related to how your EFC is calculcated, which assets are included and identified as parent vs. student assets, should you use the IRS DRT, the pros and cons of using the new FAFSA mobile app, what documentation you need if selected for verification and more.

This workshop will be lead by Luanne Lee, a certified College Financial Planning Specialist with over 13 years of college planning experience in the financial services industry.

Feel free to send individual questions, which Luanne will address. Send questions to me at debbie@road2college.com, by Friday (10/5) at midnight.

October 1st is here and everyone has FAFSA on the brain.

Some families have tried the new mobile app, some have already finished the online application using DRT, and others have faced frustration. On it's opening day the FAFSA site was already down.

If you haven't done anything yet, don't despair. It's only been a few days since you could. And according to Luanne Lee, a college funding expert, it's better to wait to the 2nd week FAFSA is open, so the government can work out all the glitches.

Here's some information to get you through the FAFSA season:

COLLEGE ESSAY HELP: For those that missed the previous college essay workshops we hosted with Brad Schiller of Prompt, you can still purchase the recording, along with a review credit to use at Prompt at a significant discount for Road2College subscribers.

Here's what one parent said about the workshop: "My son participated in the last workshop with Prompt and that's when he decided his essay had to be scrapped. I definitely recommend this workshop."

And a comment from another parent too:
"The college essay last night was wonderful! Not only was it helpful for the process but it helped my daughter get over her fear of doing it. She had started it last May but couldn't continue until last night. Thank you for offering the seminar."

Depending on demand, we may arrange future dates. If you purchase now, you'll be invited to any future workshops too.
