Common App Review Recording
Click here to watch last night's webinar on Common App mistakes.

Sabrina Malone shared advice for how your student can put his/her best foot forward in crafting a polished Common App.

One quick tip - review each page in Preview to see the Common App just as a college admissions officer will view it.

In addition to this webinar, we've collaborated with Sabrina to offer a Common App Review service.

The idea for this service actually came as a request from a member of the Paying For College 101 Facebook group when she emailed to ask if we knew of anyone who could review her student's Common App before submitting it.

Here's what that parent had to say about the Common App Review:

"Overall it was a good experience and I would definitely recommend it. We received comments in less than 24 hours. The comments were thorough and captured small mistakes, capitalization and poor sentence structure as well as potential inconsistencies between gpa and class rank." - F. Ward

The Common App Review will only be available this week from Monday 11/18 - Sunday 11/22. All requests must be submitted by Thursday, 11/21.

Reviews will be provided back within 24 hours of submitting the request.

UC Bound?
Parents of students who are filling out the UC applications will be tickled pink to know that Prompt, the essay guidance company, will be hosting a workshop on Tuesday, November 19, at 8:30pm just for them!

Brad Schiller, our essay guru, will be around to offer advice and tips for tackling the UC application personal insight questions.

The University of California school system does things different. Different application and different prompts. In fact they call them personal insight questions.

Find out what factors UC admissions officers use to evaluate UC personal insight questions. In addition, listen as Brad reviews and provides feedback for improving sample UC essays.
