Please, SIr, May I Have Some More?!?

Negotiating with the powers that be in the Admissions Office of the college that your student has his/her heart set on attending should not make you feel like Oliver Twist.

Believe it or not, college aid packages are subject to negotiation. The key is to know how to properly broach the subject. (Hint: Stay strong!)

“How Do You Negotiate College Tuition? 5 Tips to Getting a Better Deal from Your College” will help you successfully wage your financial aid appeal so you can come away with not only a “meager bit of porridge,” but some additional “lettuce” as well.

It’s Crystal Ball Time

If negotiating with Admissions Officials is not your thing, wouldn’t it be nice to have a crystal ball that would allow you to see how much you’re going to actually need to pay for college and which schools will fill that need?

Guess what?!? You CAN know the details, even before your kid applies to school!

For starters, download the list of colleges most generous with need-based financial aid (it's in our article).

“How Colleges Determine Need and Need-Based Financial Aid Awards”will provide you with a helpful tool and loads of information to clue you in to a deeper understanding of your EFC, hence, what your level of need will be. And that makes much better dollars and sense than a crystal ball.

TOOLS and WORKSHOPS

MERIT SCHOLARSHIP WORKSHOP
SUNDAY, JANUARY 27TH AT 8PM EST

My goal has always been to provide tools and content to help families through the crazy process of college admissions and paying for it!!

The first tool I've focused on helps families find FREE MONEY from colleges based on a student's academic achievements, not their family's household income.

When my daughter was applying to colleges I knew there was no way our family would receive financial aid. But it took me months to pull together data from disparate sources and search college websites for details on scholarships colleges offer.

So out of my frustration I created the College Free Money Findera new tool to make searching for merit scholarships faster and easier.
By entering your student's academic profile, preferences for size and location, and other criteria such as special talents, sports, and specific majors, you get access to the largest database of over 15,000 merit scholarships, including full-ride and full-tuition scholarships.

In minutes the College Free Money Finder supplies a list of colleges and merit scholarships that took me months to put together. And it's specific to your student.

If you're quick to act, the first 10 people to purchase the tool and workshop will get 50% off - use code CFMF50
