Building The Perfect College List…Some Assembly Required

Attention Parents of High School Juniors!!

How is building a College List the same as building an “ENGVOR” dresser from IKEA?

Both can send you into a frenzy…however, only one can help your child with one of the most important decisions of his or her life.

When I started getting involved in the college planning and paying for college space, my own daughter was in 11th grade and we were putting together her college list. I was doing consulting work for a student lender and I kept thinking: “Why isn’t more emphasis placed on creating the college list?”

If you haven’t gone through this process before, you may not realize how important the college list is. I quickly learned - THE COLLEGE LIST DRIVES EVERYTHING!

Most families put their student’s college list together the wrong way.

They don’t consider if their family can really afford the school, if their student is academically attractive to the school, or if the school is actually a good match for their child.

Are you worried your kid will pick the wrong schools to apply to? Or that you’ll have no idea how to help them build the right college list?

Not to fear...I have the perfect solution for you!

Learn how to avoid the mistakes and build the perfect college list with your kid.

I’m bringing in the experts, Marisa Meddin (of Talk College To Me) and Russ Vitale (of Destination College Success), who will teach you how to create an awesome list in just 5 days.

So...join us in this 5 day challenge we’re offering!

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL LEARN...
Why it’s absolutely, positively, so important to visit schools – and it doesn’t mean only visiting in person. There are ways to “visit” a school online.

How to use your student’s potential college major to determine the competitiveness of college programs (hint: we’ll give you questions to help guide your student to figure out what they might be interested in majoring in.)

How to find the right fit and what NON-ACADEMIC factors to consider (using criteria like athletics, financial aid, merit scholarships, geographic location, etc. etc. etc.)

Our essential advice on the RIGHT number of schools your student should apply to– this number is different for every family and we’ll explain why!

PLUS: We’ll also be hosting a VERY SPECIAL FACEBOOK LIVE Coaching Session with Russ and Marisa on the final day of the challenge, bringing together everything they’ve taught.
