The world has not stopped spinning while we are sheltering in place, even though it might seem so. We WILL be able to leave our homes...eventually, and planning for the future is key, especially when it comes to college.

Financial Aid Appeals... Still Possible?
The number of days of quarantine and sheltering in place continue to add up, and we can’t say with any surety when they will end. The uncertainty surrounding colleges and their financial viability raises myriad questions and causes anxiety in many families who are expecting to receive monetary aid.

Appealing Financial Aid During the Coronavirus discusses how and why one would appeal now, and the Coronavirus relief package (the CARES Act), and how it assists colleges and students.
Can a College Still Be a Home Away From Home?
There are a number of factors to think about when your child is figuring out where to go to college. And now, with COVID-19 impacting whether campuses will be open in the fall, that decision, especially as it relates to attending college away from home, has gotten more complicated.

Choosing a School Away From Home During a Pandemic will help parents (and students) prioritize the questions that need to be considered under these very unusual circumstances.
What’s Up Ahead On the Road...
As we said, planning for the future, especially during these days of uncertainty, is a way to take control of the situation and put the power back in our own hands. (Or at least attempt to do that.) Nowhere is the uncertainty greater than for students who are trying to look ahead and see a picture that is rather obscured.

Let’s bring back some positivity!

Listen to our Facebook Live from today (Thursday, April 16), when Loren Kelly, former college instructor-turned-Career Coach, discussed how to empower students and young adults to pursue their futures with confidence and clarity, especially during this time of extreme uncertainty.

High schoolers AND college students will benefit from hearing how Loren can help them change that self-doubt into motivation.
