Just a reminder that our application to join the Road2College Pros Network closes midnight on May 1st.

If you've already applied - THANKS!

Dear Professionals,
Thank you so much for joining and participating in the Paying For College 101 Facebook group. I greatly appreciate the sharing of your time and expertise with members of the group.

I'm reaching out to share with you the introduction of our Pros Network to help professionals highlight their services and experiences to members of the Facebook group.

Over the past months, there has been an increase in requests for recommendations of professionals with whom to work with. In addition, members have asked to know more about the professionals who are in the group. As a result we're introducing this new program.

By joining the Road2College Pros Network you'll be entitled to:
  • inclusion in our official directory, which will be promoted, twice a week, in the Paying For College Facebook group, Road2College Facebook page, and on Twitter.
  • be listed on our new Pros Network webpage, as part of the Road2College website, with links to your website, contact information, company logo and description.
  • have your business higlighted in our once a week Pros Network spotlight post.
  • be invited to submit guest articles on topics of your choice, to be published on the Road2College website and promoted through the Facebook group, page, Twitter, and email newsletters.
All the above for an annual membership fee of $500. In addition, we would also be available to work with Pros members to craft custom FB Lives and company spotlights that can be promoted in the group.

In putting together the list of professionals to send this email to, I reviewed the information many of you provided when you joined the group. I was so impressed reading through the different areas of expertise all the professionals cover - from test prep, essay writing, college funding, career choice, private scholarships, international schools, general admissions, internships, to making sure students succeed while they are in college. It's this wide range of expertise that I'd like to tap into and partner with.

As quick background on myself - I have an MBA in finance and marketing with previous work experience in product developement and marketing for large financial services companies like Fidelity Investments, Vanguard, and Chase Credit Cards. After taking time off to be home with my three children, I was hired to do consulting work for a national student lender. This experience, coupled with my own personal experience dealing with college admissions/funding and my background in personal finance and marketing, led me to start a newsletter, website, and ultimately the Paying For College 101 Facebook group.

I started the group a little over two years ago as a means to reach parents with high school students and provide them with a forum to discuss concerns and questions related to paying for college. The group has grown organically, from just 4000 members last April to over 25,000.

My goal is to create a platform that helps families at all levels of invovlement from those wanting to do it all themselves, to those that want some help combined with DIY information, to those that want one on one support.

Inclusion in the Pros Network will be dependent on review of your application. It's important we both feel comfortable and confident in the professional relationships we are building together.

Deadline to submit the application is next Tuesday. May 1st, 2018.

Once the Pros Network is established, we'll be limiting professionals in the group to those that are part of the network.

Feel free to email me with any questions (debbie@road2college.com).
