Important Information About Accessing Your Student's College Records

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is meant to protect your student's college records. This means that as the parent, you cannot get information from the school about your student without a completed form.

Read HERE about a parent who struggled to help their child because the school would not release the student's information to her.

 Q & A

Community Question: If I apply for a private loan to cover the cost of the full year, will the interest start accruing on the full amount right away?

Answer: Interest will only accrue on the portion of the loan that is disbursed to the school. This means only the amount that is sent to the school to cover the fall bill will start accruing interest. The second half will be disbursed in the spring and begin accruing interest at that time.
