Let's Revisit That No Cosigner Loan "Thing" Again, Shall We?
If you are still miffed about the fact that your student couldn’t obtain a loan without a cosigner as a freshman, you (and they) may now have some more options.

There are some lenders willing to take less traditional items into consideration when lending. One of these lenders is Funding U.

Read more about this company, and whether your sophomore or upper classman may now be in the no cosigner loan race here.
FAFSA, Finally In The Rear View Mirror
For those parents of college students who have breathed a sigh of relief now that they’re “done with” FAFSA...we have some good news and some bad news.

The bad news is that you must apply for FAFSA each of the four years your student attends college.

BUT, there is some good news…How FAFSA Calculates Your EFC will once again explain how your EFC is calculated, and how schools use it to determine how much financial aid your student will receive. If you didn’t quite understand it the first time you applied, now is the time to take a refresher course.
Is It Too Early To Be Seeking Out Internships?

The other day, I was scrolling through LinkedIn and saw a post about applications being accepted for a 2020 College Internship at Morgan Stanley. I went back to find the post so that I could share it with the members of our Paying For College 101 group and searched for “internships summer 2020” in the search bar.

Not only did I find the original post that I was looking for, but I also found many posts about other companies who are already recruiting for summer 2020. Companies like Microsoft, Tesla, Caterpillar, Guardian, TransUnion, PWC, and Spotify are all looking for applicants!

So, if you answered “NO” to our question...YOU and your college student win!!
