Need Money For College?

Consider these two options:

1. Get a Free, Alternative College Education

DreamCare hires students as child-care caregivers. These caregivers live with host families and provide 40 hours of child care a week. In return, DreamCare students receive:

  • A college education from one of their online university partners at no cost to the student

  • Free room and board (board = meals)

  • The chance to move somewhere new, and experience a new location

  • A $1,000 monthly stipend for 40 hours per week (or $800 for 29 hours per week)

  • Training on child-care best practices and child safety

  • Sick days and paid vacation days

The Student caregiver can enroll in one of the following online educational programs:

  1. Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Early Childhood Education through Walden University (approximately 3 years to complete). Students can take as many courses at a time as their schedule will allow. More degree options will be available from Walden University in 2023.

  2. Any Bachelor of Arts (BA) from Southern New Hampshire University(approximately 4 years to complete). Includes nursing options. Students will take 1 course every 8 weeks until they graduate.

Credits can be transferred into the online university or transferred out if the student wants to attend a different university after completion of the program. Student caregivers are smart, caring, and hardworking people who want to graduate from college with no debt.

*Caregivers will need to supply 2 references, and pass both a criminal background check and a driving background check. For host families, all adults living in the home over the age of 18 must pass a background check.

2. Apply for a Private Student Loan

Next semester's bill is coming. Make sure you secure a private loan with the lowest interest rate before the school's due date.

Check out our private lender list with up to date interest rates. Before you commit to a loan, sign up with Juno—they use the power of group bargaining to get better rates on student loans.

Note: We recommend you borrow federal student loans first. Once you've exhausted your federal loan eligibility, carefully compare your options from private lenders.
