Here we are in yet another week of quarantine and social distancing. We hope you are all well and acclimating to what has become the “new normal.” For at least a while longer.

Crisis Handlers
Add “good crisis handler” to your checklist of things about schools that are important to you.

When someone in authority is the voice of reason and calm during a crisis, that provides a sense of comfort and trust when it is desperately needed.

How Colleges Respond to Crises gives voice to the parents in our Paying For College 101 Facebook group as they discuss which schools acted responsibly and responsively and how they did it.

What’s Up Ahead On the Road...
Have you been attending our weekly CoffeeKlatches?

We’ve already had three, and during the last one, among all the other topics the fifteen parents who joined us discussed was the topic of “flexibility” and how important that is during these crazy times.

Next week, we’re hoping even more parents will be sitting around our virtual coffeehouse. One participant suggested have your students sit in for the first 10 minutes to also say hello.

It’s a great way to get some questions answered, discuss various topics about higher ed, and put faces to some of the people you only know by name.
