The Waiting is the Hardest Part
Isn’t is amazing how tuned in to the Early Admissions process Tom Petty was?!?

We guess he knew how emotional a time it is: The culmination of years of hard work, commitment, and energy.

We recently came across a letter written by a college admissions counselor, to help parents of students who are experiencing those ups and downs. You can read it here.
She's Got a New Attitude
Yes, we know, we’re quoting another song, but we can’t help it! So, Patti LaBelle and the author of this article both adopted new attitudes, with the latter adopting a new approach to getting into college.

There’s nothing wrong with changing things up, and with a new year coming quickly upon us, a new way for students to set and tackle goals that match their needs and desires for the college experience might just be what they need.
What Else Your Student Might Need

Common App Review

If your student is still working on their Common App and they need an extra set of “eyes,” to review it, we recommend you look to one of our vetted experts as an advisor. She will review the Common App, proofread it looking for obvious mistakes and offer suggestions on how to improve its presentation of your student’s story.

A final review will be delivered within 24-hours. Sign up here.

Final Essay Webinar of the Year!

We don’t judge, but if your student is still working on their college essay, there’s a good chance they might need something like a nudge to get it done. Here’s a not-so-subtle nudge...our FREE Webinar TONIGHT at 8:30pm (EST). Brad Schiller of Prompt, the Essay Guidance Specialists will be there to offer tips on how to make that essay stronger.

As an added enticement, everyone who attends will be entered into a raffle with the possibility of winning a free consultation. Register for this webinar here.

Holiday Gift Ideas

We can’t help but admit that we think the BEST give one can give a college-student-to-be is the gift of an education. And with a Gift Card Granny you, or anyone else can do just that.

And if you’d like to add a little something extra, here’s one or two more suggestions

Steamfast Mini Steam Iron is small enough to fit in a suitcase or in a tiny dorm room closet, but strong enough to use every day (we know that ain’t gonna happen, but it IS strong!)

ZonLi Weighted Blanket Weighted blankets have been known to create a sense of calm and help you sleep more soundly. They might just be the perfect thing to help a student get a good night’s sleep.

My goal is always to provide you with affordable services, insightful information and access to actionable data to help you make more informed college decisions.
