It's long been debated that standardized test scores are not an accurate measure of how well a student will do in college, and this past year has shown that big time.

It's really hard to say what exactly can be an accurate indicator of a student's future success since levels of maturity and ambition wax and wane during the college years.

One parent in our Road2College community recently shared a story about her daughter that essentially proves our point, and it is both inspiring and heartwarming.

Is Applying Early "for Keeps," or Just for Certain Peeps?

Colleges look at Early Decision as an indicator that they’re the student’s top choice, and it's generally understood that if a student applies Early Decision, and gets in, they’re agreeing to go. 

According to CollegeBoard, there are about 450 colleges that offer early decision, ranging from high-ranking universities and colleges like Duke and Brown, as well as less competitive schools like Drexel University.
