Welcome to Day 2 of Building The Perfect College List!

In Day 1, you learned where to start the college list process, and the importance of getting an idea for the types of schools your student may be interested in via in-person or online campus visits.

In the video today for Step 2, you will learn:
  • The importance of identifying a college major now, and how this will hugely impact your child’s college list
  • Why it’s so important to research admissions statistics for specific programs at each college or university, and not just for the school as a whole
  • How to help your student select a potential college major now (even if your kid has no idea what they want to do in the future!)

Click here to watch Video #2 now (5:56)

After you’ve watched the video, download the worksheet here and print it out. This will help your student begin choosing a potential major.

YOUR TASK FOR TODAY is to have your student complete this worksheet, and decide on a major that your student would be excited about today, for the purposes of this challenge.

Remember: While it may feel like a daunting process to decide on a potential major right now, it can save your family a huge amount of time and money in the long run. This is a key factor to set your student up for a successful experience in college and beyond.

Don’t forget - Marisa, Russ, and Debbie will be LIVE tonight 8:30 PM (EST) tonight to answer any questions you have about today’s part of the challenge.
