In Day 1 of the Challenge, you learned about how important having “the financial conversation” with your student is (so there will be no surprises later).
You also learned about How Financial Aid Works and how to create your family’s criteria in terms of a budget, EFC, and loans.

The list drives your student's admissibility, your family's affordability, and the workload that is required to complete the application process.

| | | In Day 2, you will learn...
- Academic factors
- It’s more than A, B, C, D, F, and a 4.0 GPA.
- How to find the right environment where your student can be challenged but not overwhelmed.
YOUR TASK(S) FOR DAY 2 ARE: Pick 3 schools to research that your student may be interested in. List all the admissions requirements, along with specific requirements for potential majors your student may be considering.
From the school website, see if you can get a sense of the school's academic environment. What is the average class size? The total number of undergraduates? Do they offer academic advising? How easy or difficult is it to change majors?
